Ryan Millar Joins Partners In Leadership

September 17, 2012 — September 17, 2012 – Temecula, CA – Partners In Leadership is pleased to announce that Ryan Millar has joined the team as a Regional Vice President, Leadership Consultant, and Executive Facilitator, bringing with him fourteen years of professional leadership as an Olympian and professional athlete. Ryan played his first tour with USA Volleyball in 1998, and later helped the USA win their first Olympic Volleyball Gold Medal in twenty years at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. Throughout his career, Ryan has competed in three Olympic Games and several world championships and tournaments. Ryan has received many awards and accolades during his athletic career, including Best Blocker at the 2008 Olympic Qualifier, and 2007 USA Volleyball Male Player of the Year.

Ryan’s career granted him the opportunity to travel the world extensively, living in Italy, Poland, Russia, Turkey and visiting many other countries representing the USA as our Olympic team competed around the world. This has given Ryan a unique insight into diverse cultures. His seven years of playing professional volleyball in Italy also provided him the opportunity to become fluent in Italian.

Ryan is a graduate of Sociology at Brigham Young University, and was inducted into the BYU athletic Hall of Fame in 2009. He served as Co-Head Men’s Volleyball Coach at Brigham Young University for the 2006-2007 season, compiling a 23-6 record. In 2005, Ryan created The Next Level Volleyball Camps, owning and running one of the most unique volleyball camp experiences available. In addition to his stellar performances as a professional athlete and coach, Ryan has worked on projects for The Walt Disney Company, Mizuno USA, Hoven Sunglasses, and Rockwell Time.

Ryan has demonstrated tremendous charisma resulting from performing on the largest stage in sports multiple times, in front of millions of television viewers, as well as tens of thousands of live fans. He is energetic and shows natural enthusiasm in front of audiences, captivating people with his confidence and authenticity. Ryan’s passion for performing in front of people is reflected in his presentations as a keynote speaker for multiple corporate trainings, leadership summits, award ceremonies, and fundraising events.
